A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you have a Linux web hosting with us and you wish to enable the catch-all option for a particular email mailbox that you have in the web hosting account, it will take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in the account. You can pick one single address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a small button conveniently situated directly next to each one. With only a single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the context menu that will appear. In case any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
